We are now new proud pet owners! The neighbor across the street gave us her fish tank and fish. Her kids are all grown up so she doesn't really want it anymore and we went over to her house for a welcome home James (her son) party (from Iraq) and Richard went wild over the fish. The big fish is Luna and she cleans the tank. Chris is just as excited and it's pretty fun to have in the house so far. We went to Wal-Mart today so Richard could get a new fish but they don't sell fish anymore. They did sell a fun new sculpture for inside the tank, though.

Also, don't you love Richard's outfit. We were going through clothes that were his and will soon be Jake's and we found this summer pj set with none other than Lightning McQueen and Richard said "No, Jake can't have that." So he had to put it on over top of his current pj set. Very funny.

Both kids have colds right now so we have been pretty house bound but Miss Emily (our CU babysitter) is FINALLY back tomorrow so we'll be getting back into the routine w/her and mommy will get to get out of the house even if the kids are sick!

Finally, some Christmas photos! Richard was a little scared of his new big jeep at first but he gets in it now with his buds (and he wants Jake in it too but Jake always cries.) We had to turn the gas pedal off so he can't make it move. It got a little wild in here on New Year's Eve when he and his buddy were going all over the living room and bumping into furniture. We actually stayed up until midnight this year and even Richard lasted.

Here is a great picture of Jake on Christmas day w/me at Julie's house. It's a great shot of him, huh? I have since gotten my hair cut - so no comments on the rats nest please.

It's a chilly day here today but we're getting out to music class. Richard really participates now so it's fun for him and Jake loves the action and the music.

We've been getting out to playgroup (our neighborhood has a playgroup every Tues) and we even went to the park this weekend. So it hasn't been too bad this winter not getting out so much....we schedule lots of play dates and as you can imagine, it takes a lot of time to do just about ANYTHING with two little ones.

Thought you'd enjoy seeing Jake in his exersaucer! His new food love is black beans and tomato sauce and boy is it messy......if you know what I mean! ha ha
